Ir. Wouter Oostendorp finished a bachelor degree in Building Engineering at the Univeristy of Applied Science Arnhem, finished a design semester at ArtEZ academy for ‘Architecture & Interior’ Arnhem and a Cum Laude Masters degree at the Technical University Delft. At the TU Delft Wouter was not only active as a student but also took part in several committee boards and was chairman of the education committee. This allowed him to develop several educative programs, amongst them the multidisciplinary graduation semesters called Explore-lab. The Lab has now generated archi-prix winners and over 500 graduates. Wouter is co-author of ‘Architecture in Limbo’, a written overviews of the initial social motive and the realization process of mass housing area 'Bijlmermeer'. Wouter worked as an architect at MVRDV, Paul de Ruiter, LIAG and Baumschaleger-Eberlein Hong Kong. Wouter is now co-founder of studio O×L.
Ir. Joop Steenkamp graduated at the TU Delft and has gained 15 years of experience at a broad range of architectural studios like SeARCH, Korthtielens, DeZwarteHond and LIAG. His career brought him from small scale private buildings up to large, mixed-use dwelling complexes. With an accent on dwellings he has also gained experiences in utility buildings like schools and commercial buildings. He has been involved in many realizations phases of buildings and as such has a lot of experience in creating beautiful buildings, which is made manifest by many nominations for awards and some award winning projects. Joop has joined studio O×L in 2012. His long-term experience with big housing projects enabled the studio to engage in bigger and more complex projects.
